Playing: a state of mind, a process of joy and impulsivity.

The decision of not setting specific tasks for each session of improvisation left open any possible alternative. Slowly it became clear that our starting point was a playful, democratic and a-gendered approach to the material.

The sense of play was a main inspiration throughout, a fundamental idea we could return to when we got stuck, to make things work and flow again, or to remember sequences.

The idea of playing was not confined to the studio work: one evening Hallvord is playfully lifting Harumi until she looks and asks "Did you do doublework today?".
